Chicken schwarma

This is a schwarma take on a curry. Really tasty. The chicken fell apart and the whole thing was so moreish.

Serve with rice or couscous

1/2 jar of schwarma paste, I like waitrose

1 red onion sliced

4 mushrooms, sliced

3 chicken breasts cut into thick slices

1tsp cinnamon

Salt and pepper

Splash of water to loosen the paste

2 tbsp ground almonds

200ml full fat creme fraiche

Mix together all the ingredients, except ground almonds and creme fraiche. Add this after cooking.

Cover

Place in fridge over night

Next day

Tip mixture into slow cooker on number 2 setting

Leave to cook for 6-7 hours

If it needs thickening, use 1 – 2 tbsp ground almonds

Stir in 200ml full fat creme fraiche

Serve
