I did this as a take on gyros for the kids, so put the ingredients into a wrap and they loved it. I had it on a plate with salad and it was equally divine. Really tasty and minimum fuss, but you do need to make the chicken in advance.

To make the chicken schwarma
3 chicken breasts sliced long ways into strips, with the grain of the meat to make it more tender. I use scissors to snip the chicken breast.
100g Greek full fat yoghurt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp tumeric
Mix together so everything is coated and pop in the fridge to marinate. I did this in the morning and ate it for evening meal.
When the time comes for cooking, arrange the chicken strips on a lightly oiled baking tray so each strip doesn’t overlap and is laid flat
Herby potato wedges
Approx 5-6 large baking potatoes, King Edward or Maris Piper are best.
Cut them in half and place cut side up in the microwave for 7mins
Slice each half potato into strips to make chips
Arrange them on a baking tray with a decent amount of olive oil on and turn each chip in the oil so they are coated.
Lay the chips out so they don’t overlap
Sprinkle over salt and dried mixed herbs
Oven
Put the chips in a preheated 180°C fan oven for 20 mins on the top shelf
Then at 20mins add the chicken on the baking tray switching the chips to a middle shelf and thd chicken goes on the top shelf.
15-20mins, check at 15mins. If the chicken is over 75°C and the chips browned, it’s done.
Plate up
Either put into a flour wrap with some lettuce, mayo and a but if mango chutney. (chips go in the wrap alongside chicken aka gyros)
Or, serve on top of lettuce with a drizzle of oilve oil or mayo.
Devour.
